Here we are with more surprises in Barcelona….
This time is a Gastronomy, Music and Art event a unique event. We are talking about the first edition of this event that mixes good food, music and art. It will take place on Saturday May 13th in three of the busiest city markets in Barcelona: the Mercat del Ninot, the Mercat de Sagrada Família and the Mercat de Santa Caterina.
Is there anything more charming than a traditional market at night? Yes, it is. Because tomorrow night you’ll be able to dine on tapas with nonstop background music and be part of a charity initiative. We could not ask for more!!
Butcher shops, fishmongers, Charcuteries, and vegetables and fruit shops will open their doors from 8pm to midnight to sell their fantastic products and offer tapas and small dishes made to order, tastings and workshops. A gastronomic experience over the top.
Besides the musical and gastronomic offer, you can also find a solidarity exhibition with works from four local artists: Cecilia Diaz Betz, Beatriz Janer, Magdalena Puigserver and Arkaitz Olarra. All the funds raised will go to a Food Bank of Barcelona called Fundació Banc dels Aliments.
“Nit de Mercats” is included in the “Estima el teu mercat” campaign, within the framework of the International Market Week, and hopes to become a classic of the Catalan city. It is a unique open access event that combines the cuisine of today and the traditional. An event of contrasts with the unmistakable seal of Barcelona. Are you curious? Here, you can see the Nit de Mercats program.
If you have a foodie soul and a curious mind perhaps tomorrow night might not be enough for you. That is why we propose our Food Tours in Barcelona to continue enjoying tastings, cooking classes or tapas tours.
A great gastronomic month of May!
