Representatives from Burgundy Wine Region in France visit FoodWineTours

Just before the San Femin festivities, we encountered some truly brave bulls of the wine industry. Representatives from the Maconnaise district of the Burgundy Wine region in France wanted us to explain our company´s project and the virtues and inconveniences of the experiences market in Catalonia.

For two hours we were traveling through a market full of expectations, dreams and excitement, a trip through our dynamic experiences and our knowledge. Acquired through the last 12 years and that have lead us to be named the best experiences company in Catalonia; being the best in such a competitive market such as ours, awakens the curiosity of many wine making regions, which is why our training programs are ideal to do a benchmarking of the best practices.

The culmination of the talk was a sensory trip though the landscapes that on this occasion they weren´t going to be able to visit, denominations of origins such as Costers del Segre, Emporda, Pla de Bages or Priorat Wine regions were visited from a touristic and wine making point of view with utmost pleasure, paired with a traditional dinner, medieval cuisine, coming from Domus Sent Sovi (the oldest recorded cookbook).

Their final words of praise lead us to think that their trip was more than satisfactory. For us, it was a pleasure to debate and share; experiences like this is what bring meaning to our slogan “Experiences for hungry travelers.”

On other occasions, we havehad the opportunity to show our landscapes to expert winemakers from wine regions such as the Ribera del Duero or La Rioja. We hope that other territories can fill their mind and spirit with flavor and knowledge – nothing would make us happier.
